Oseni Rufai, a broadcaster for Arise Television, was charged on Tuesday with violating the 2018 Lagos State Transport Law after allegedly using the BRT lane on a highway in Lagos and resisting arrest by police.

He was fined N70,000 by the court after it found him guilty of illegally using the BRT lane. His car was later returned to him after he had paid the fine.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer for the Lagos State Police command made this known on Tuesday night via a tweet.
