As terrorists in Nigeria continue to get bolder and their threats to strategic locations continue to grow the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) are also adopting new measures to confront the threats.
The latest measure from the Nigerian Police Force was announced by the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi on Monday, which contained a directive from the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
In a statement on Sunday, Adejobi disclosed that the IGP has ordered for the tightening up of security around certain strategic locations .
This includes – churches, schools, hospitals and other “critical infrastructures, according to the police statement. He said that the measure was part of efforts to prevent attacks. He added that schools, hospitals would be among places that will be prioritised.
Adejobi said that regular raids and patrols would also be carried out in strategic areas across the country.
