The unending embarrassment to the hitherto feared Russian military is now beginning to cause questions to be asked in many quarters in Russia regarding Putin`s sanity, health and capacity to govern.

Speaking in an interview with Radio Liberty, Bellingcat’s Christo Grozev said:

“These are those parts of the security forces who know the dangers for the regime, and they themselves are now preparing their future,”

BACKGROUND
President Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine on the 24th of February 2022 with a view to capturing Kyiv within days with his special forces. Experts have said that President Putin had planned the immediate capture of Kyiv and toppling of President Zelensky.
He did not expect much resistance from his democratically leaning neighbor. He had expected the Ukrainian military to surrender and capitulate to the obviously more equipped and better trained Russian military.
However, rather than surrender and run as the Russian military invaded, the Ukrainian forces stood their ground, and have since then maintained their resistance against the invasion by Putin`s forces.
Almost three months after the invasion, the war is almost stalled according to the American and UK intelligence sources and military experts.
