It took only 10 days for a woman to lose her man and the father of her two children to a Ukrainian refugee who they brought in from Ukraine to live with them in the UK under the UK government`s Home for Ukraine program, the Sun has reported.

She was a 22 year old woman from Ukraine and in only 10 days of entering the home of her hosts, she turned from a refugee to what Nigerians would call a “husband snatcher”.

Her name is Sofiia Karkadym and she fled her home country following the invasion by Putin`s soldiers. She is from Lviv in Ukraine, from where she joined to the Garnett family in the UK, who invited her to stay with them under the government sponsored initiative to provide her safety and comfort.

Sofiia said her host was unhappy man when she arrived and they fail in love.

However, the young woman got more in stock. She got the safety, the comfort and even more. She fell in love with her host`s partner – Tony Garnett, who is 29 and eventually took him over completely as the paper reported.

Tony lived in Bradford, UK with his partner – Lorna, who is 28 and their 2 daughters, aged three and six.  Tony works as a security guard.

The young Sofia who was the guest of Tony and Lorna could be described by some as a strange woman, and true to that, she and Tony are right now planning a life together after Tony ran off with her, abandoning his partner of 10years and the mother of her 2 daughters.

“We’re sorry for the pain we’ve caused but I’ve discovered a connection with Sofiia like I’ve never had before. We’re planning the rest of our life together.” said Tony.

When Putin`s army invaded Ukraine, the city of Lviv was one of those where Ukrainians had to run for safety

It is reported that Tony spoke Slovakian which is similar to Ukrainian, and while in the house communicated with Sofia in this language, which the wife never understood.

When their closeness became too uncomfortable for Lorna, she demanded that Sofia must leave the house. Tony refused this, and chose to leave the house with Sofia instead.

Sofia claimed that Tony was an unhappy man when she arrived. She made this claim and also a confession to Sun saying “As soon as I saw him I fancied him. It’s been very quick but this is our love story. I know people will think badly of me but it happens. I could see how unhappy Tony was.”
