Takeaway:
Clariform reports that the growing popularity of the former two-term governor of Anambra State so far appears to be a function of his personality and political antecedent, especially for previous record while in office as Anambra State governor.
His popularity and acceptability across the nation have led some other politicians to embrace the Labour Party, under which some have and are running for several offices in coming elections.
However, from what has happened in Ekiti and Osun States` gubernatorial elections it does not seem that Peter Obi`s popularity have so far robbed off on the two Labour Party candidates in the two elections.
However, as some political pundits have predicted, this turn of events will change drastically in the February 2023 election when Obi will be on the ballot in person.
As predicted, those candidates running for offices that their elections will be held same day or in same election season as the office of the president, may benefit greatly from the voters of Peter Obi.
