At least seven persons have been killed in a fresh attack in Jos South LGA in Plateau State. This attack came less than 24 hours after 18 persons were killed in a clash between vigilante persons and bandits in Wase LGA.
The killing has been confirmed by the National Publicity Secretary of the Berom Youth Moulders Association, Rwang Tengwong.
Tengwong told reporters, “Seven people have been confirmed dead at Danda chugwi community following an attack by Fulani Militias.
He further confirmed “Others who sustain serious gun injuries have been taken to Vom Christian hospital for immediate medical attention.”
However, the security agencies in the state including the police and the military special Taskforce in charge of peace maintenance were yet to issue any public statement on the reported killings as of the time of filing this report.
Clariform reports that Plateau State has repeated been in the media over the years for incidents of killings.
The Plateau crisis initial started as an ethno political crisis between the Hausa Community and the indigenous Birom people over the creation of a local government and political positions.
This crisis, which has claimed many lifes over the years, have defiled solutions and long manifested into herders, farmers crisis and recently banditry. This has left the once peaceful Jos into a blood field.
