DCP Tunji Disu, the commander of the Nigerian Police Force’s (NPF) Intelligence Response Team (IRT), has brought honor to his nation by taking home the Veteran Judo Fighter Silver Medal in the 33rd US Open Judo Championships held in the country.
The silver medal was won by DCP Disu on July 31, 2022.

After the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) indicted Abba Kyari, resulting in his suspension, DCP Disu was chosen to lead IRT. Tunji was born On April 13, 1966, on Lagos Island.
When he was a Commander of RRS in Lagos, “Hot Spot Policing,” which involves stationing patrol vehicles at key places known as black spots, played a part in his enormous influence.
Additionally, he worked as the unit’s deputy head at River State CID. Disu led the Nigerian police detachment in the African Union (AU) peacekeeping operation in Sudan’s Darfur.
He is also thought of as a famous police officer who is well-known on microblogging sites, primarily Twitter. On June 18, 1992, Disu enlisted in the army as a Cadet ASP after receiving training at the Nigeria Police Academy in Kaduna.
Disu competed in several competitions and won medals.
At the national sports festival in Bauchi in 1990, he took home two gold medals.
Additionally, he received a silver medal in the Armed Forces Games and two gold medals at the Nigerian Police Games.
