Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the All Progressive Congress presidential candidate of the All on Tuesday visited former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Clariform gathered that he held a closed-door meeting with Jonathan where they spoke on issues about the forthcoming presidential election.
According to the presidential aspirant, his visit to Jonathan was for consultation in his capacity as a former President of the country and an elder statesman.
Reacting to the visit, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, said that he sees leading Nigeria as a clarion call. According to him, such ambition is beyond partisan politics. Therefore, he seeks the support of all prominent personalities in Nigeria to work together on the best way to get the country on a right track.
Recall that we previously reported that Tinubu had also visited former President Olusegun Obasanjo in his Abeokuta residence earlier in the month as part of his ongoing consultations.
The All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate also had a closed-door meeting with Nyesom Wike, the Rivers State Governor in London.
Clariform recalls that before the presidential primaries of the APC, Tinubu had also had consultation sessions with prominent traditional rulers in the South West and other leaders across the country.
We gathered that the APC candidate will continue to meet with leaders and relevant stake holders in Nigeria politics before campaigns officially start by September.
Tinubu was accompanied on the visit by Vice Presidential candidate of the APC Kashim Shettima, Governors of Ogun State Dapo Abiodun, Kwara AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Zamfara State Bello Matawalle, Jigawa Abubakar Badaru, and Plateau Simon Lalong who is also the Director General of the campaign council.
