The disgraced former Accountant General of the Federation, Idris Ahmed has be granted bail by a Federal High court sitting in Maitama, Abuja.
Idris Ahmed was admitted to bail to the tune of five billion naira and two sureties in like sum. The three other accused persons were equally granted bail to the tune of two billion naira each with two sureties.
The co-accused are Godfrey Olusegun Akindele, Mohammed Usman and Gezawa Commodity Markets and Exchange.
In her ruling, Justice J.O Adeyemi Ajayi, warned the accuseds against travelling out of the FCT without the court permission.
She also warned them against procurement of new travel passport having deposited their international passports before the court.
Clariform reminds our reader that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had arraigned the three on the 22nd of July over allegations of fraud to the sum 109 billion naira.
The three accused pleaded not guilty to the charges and the trial have started immediately.
