    • Dates: 7th, 8th, and 12th April 2025
    • Time: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on each day, but ends at 3pm on 12th April

    • Dates: 9th, 10th, and 11th April 2025
    • Time: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on each day

Services Offered

These events are part of Zenith Bank’s Diaspora Banking initiative, designed to cater to the unique needs of Nigerians living abroad. The services provided include:

  1. Free BVN Enrollment: The Bank Verification Number is a biometric identification system implemented by the Central Bank of Nigeria to curb illegal banking transactions. Obtaining a BVN is mandatory for all Nigerian bank account holders. Zenith Bank offers free BVN enrollment at its offices outside Nigeria, ensuring that diaspora Nigerians can seamlessly integrate into the Nigerian banking system.
  2. NIN Enrollment: The National Identification Number is a unique identifier assigned to Nigerian citizens and legal residents. It is essential for various governmental and legal processes. Zenith Bank facilitates NIN enrollment for Nigerians in the diaspora, ensuring they remain connected to national services.
  3. Account Opening: Nigerians in the UK can open accounts with Zenith Bank, benefiting from services such as debit and credit cards (available in NGN, USD, GBP, and EUR), virtual cards, internet and mobile banking, and instant foreign exchange conversion to Naira. citeturn0search0
  4. Mortgage Concessionary Rates: Recognizing the aspirations of Nigerians abroad to invest in property back home, Zenith Bank offers mortgage services with favorable terms, including up to 7-year mortgages for Nigerian émigrés with stable and verifiable income sources.

Registration Process

To ensure a smooth experience, interested individuals are required to register online ahead of the events. This pre-registration facilitates efficient service delivery and helps manage the flow of attendees. Details regarding the registration process can be found on Zenith Bank’s official Diaspora Banking page.

The Importance of BVN and NIN for Nigerians Abroad

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has emphasized the significance of the BVN and NIN in securing the Nigerian banking system and combating financial fraud. In a recent statement, the CBN announced that beginning in April 2024, all accounts lacking a BVN or NIN would be frozen. This move underscores the urgency for Nigerians, both at home and abroad, to obtain these identifiers to ensure uninterrupted access to banking services.
