President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday promised the Nigerian people of his regime`s resolve to support the Nigerian military to “wipe out terrorists off the face of the earth”.
The president have made this latest assurance to the nation less than one year to the end of his administration.

It will hand over to a new regime in May 2023 following the next general elections scheduled for February 2023.
President Buhari`s pledge to reinforce the Nigerian military to ramp up its fight against terrorism was made at the graduation event of 247 students of the Senior Course 44 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College on July, 14, 2022 in Jaji, Kaduna State.
Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) spoke on the experiences over the last 12 years as he described it as “very challenging” for the country, considering the different security threats that have been confronting it.”
Clariform further reports that Buhari`s address at the event was titled “President Buhari lauds combat readiness, operational capability of Nigerian military, pledges more support in fight against insurgency.”
These were disclosed by the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, who also disclosed the president`s pledge of more support to the Army in their fight against insurgency in the country.

According to the president’s media aid, Buhari said, “This occasion provides me another opportunity to briefly reflect on the state of the Nigerian nation, particularly regarding national security.
“The last 12 years have been very challenging for our nation, considering the different security threats that have besieged the country.
Addressing the graduating military trainees directly, President Buhari further said, ‘‘It will be part of your duty to confront these terrorists and insurgents and wipe them off the face of the earth and bring peace to our countries.”
Buhari while referring to the soldiers already in the field of battle with the terrorists was quoted as saying that the government was “working tirelessly to enhance their combat effectiveness, operational capability and training necessary to eliminate the threats, in synergy with other institutions and nations.”

Clariform reports that the graduation event was following a military course with student from Nigeria and other neighbouring countries wedging the war against the Boko Haram and other Islamic terrorists in the region.
There were 247 students in the 48 weeks intensive training course referred to as the Senior Course 44 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, and the graduation was on Thursday July, 14, 2022 in Jaji, Kaduna State.
The Commandant of the Staff College, Air Vice-Marshall, Olurotimi Tuwase, in his address made earlier, disclosed that the 247 students in the course comprised of 111 Army officers, 69 naval officers, 42 air force officers, 10 students from paramilitary organisations and Ministries, Department and Agencies in Nigeria.
Also included were 15 international students from Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chad, The Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Togo and Zambia.
The students of the Senior Course 44 were awarded “Pass Staff Course” upon completion of the intensive training.
