The ancient town of Owo in Ondo State has once again come under attack by unidentified gunmen.
According to information obtained by Clariform correspondent in Owo, a construction company, Craneburg Construction Company was the target of the attack, which happened near Folahami Junction on Wednesday.
Upon spotting those present within the premises of Craneburg Construction, the unidentified gunmen reportedly began shooting.
Some explosive devices were also utilized during the attack.
Three people were hurt during a shootout in the town, according to Funmi Odunlami, the State Police Command Public Relations Officer, who confirmed the attack.
She was unable to determine if the attackers were terrorists or bandits, in her report.

In her words, “Tonight, there was a shooting incident at Craneburg Construction Company Owo. Policemen are currently on the scene. Victims have been transported to the hospital, and they are in stable condition.”
“The EOD guys of the command would travel to the scene tomorrow morning (Thursday), but we cannot ascertain the casualty figure at this time, and we also cannot claim it was a terrorist attack with the use of explosive devices”, she added.
This makes it the 2nd gunmen attack on Owo in the space of 2 months.

Ondo State’s Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, however, had disputed the assertion made by the federal government that a terrorist organization was responsible for the attack.
