Wally Adeyemo (born Adewale “Wally” Adeyemo), a Nigerian America national, is leading in the talks with financial institutions in Turkey over the enforcement of Western imposed sanctions on Russia for the inversion of Ukraine, Routers have reported.
According to Routers, the United States Treasury disclosed on Saturday that Adeyamo visited Turkey on Wednesday where he held talks between then and Friday with the country`s financial institutions.
The talks centered on the effectiveness of the implementation of the sanctions, which the United States and its western allies imposed on Russia as a result of the war going on in Ukraine, which began in February after Russia invaded its smaller neighbor from 3 fronts.
A statement from the United States Treasure says that the talk led by Nigerians Adeyemo was successful, as all parties in the talk agreed on the need to ensure that Turkey is not used as safe haven for illicit financial transactions that will impede on the integrity of the country`s financial sector.
“All parties expressed a desire to ensure that Turkey is not used as a haven for illicit financing and that the integrity of its banking sector continues to be protected,” the statement read.

Wally Adeyamo was born “Adewale Adeyemo”. He is a Nigerian-American government official serving as the United States Deputy Secretary of the Treasury. He was born on the 20th of May 1981 in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.
He was the first president of the Obama Foundation and also served during the Obama administration as the Deputy National Security Advisor for International Economics from 2015 to 2016 and also Deputy Director of the National Economic Council in the United States.
