The presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu again on Sunday added fuel to the raging fire on the debate about his debate as he campaigns to succeed President Muhammadu Tinubu on the 29 of May 2023.
The APC flagbearer and two term governor of Lagos State was at a book lunch on Sunday organized by his political protégée, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, the current Speaker of Nigeria`s House of Representative.
Tinubu who made a speech at the book lunch humorously commended the positive political chemistry between the Speaker and his Deputy, who have both had good working relationship for almost four years of presiding over the lower chamber of the National Assembly.
Referring to this “good working relationship”, with humour Bola Tinubu, who is admirably called Jagaban by his admirers said he will consult the duo for advice as “I am still searching for running mate” for the February 2023 presidential election.
In a video clip of Tinubu`s speech aired on Channels Television, which covered the moment Tinubu finished his speech and was climbing down the podium, someone who looked like an aid to the APC candidate was seen assisting Bola Tinubu as he walked down the step of the podium before the camera appeared to blur the vision of the coverage.
In a season like the current time, when the health of the APC candidate has become, or have been made a national issue, a development like this cannot go unnoticed or without mention by the press.
However, the anchor of the Sunday Politics program on Nigeria`s Channels Television, Mr Seun Okinbaloye, who aired the video of the event, did not say a word of what happened, irrespective of the fact that the issue on discussion was about the fitness of the candidate for the purpose of the presidential election.
Clariform reminds our readers that the Hon Femi Gbajabiamila`s book lunch was in commemoration of his 60th birthday celebration.
Nigerians from all walks of life on Saturday congratulated the Honorable Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, on the occasion of his 60th birthday.
