UKRAINE INVASION: Russian defence spokesman Lt Gen Igor Konashenkov has accused the United States of America of direct involvement in the Russian war.
This is the first time Russia would accuse the USA of direct involvement in the 5 months old war.
The Russian defence spokesman alleged the US was approving targets for American-made Himars artillery used by Ukrainian’s forces.
The Russian Government through her defence spokesman, Lt Gen Igor Konashenkov said intercepted calls between Ukrainian officials revealed the link.
However, this claim is yet to be independently verified as at the time of this report. Neither has the USA made a comment on the accusation.
According to Mr. Konashenkov “It is the Biden administration that is directly responsible for all rocket attacks approved by Kyiv on residential areas and civilian infrastructure facilities in settlements of Donbass and other regions that caused mass deaths of civilians.”
Clariform reports that Ukraine and Russia has been at war since February when the Russian leader Vladimir Putin ordered the invasion of the neighbouring Ukraine.
This was despite assurances he repeatedly gave the global community that Russia had no plans to attack Ukraine.
Before February, Putin had in 2014 annexed the Crimea region of Ukraine with the claim that was Russians living in the region.
