UPDATED: A new development on Ekweremadu`s criminal case may work in his favour

According to audio and videos provided by an eyewitness at the scene of the event, a mentally unstable woman used a large stone to murder an Okada man somewhere around the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange, Accra, Ghana while he was asleep.

The eyewitness, Ikem (not his real name), told GhanaWeb that the woman was well-known for frequently throwing stones at moving automobiles on the stretch.

He continued by saying that the dead man was also throwing stones at the woman to dissuade her from saying around him, while the woman was gartering the stones and throwing at cars driving by.

This continued for a while until the deceased got up and proceeded to take care of other matters, before the mad woman took him unawares while asleep.

Notable Quote

According to the eyewitness, “The mad woman was sitting just across the street and the guy was also seated there, and the guy was throwing stones at the mad lady – sacking her to move away from where he was seated. As he did that, the woman kept dodging the stones.”

“The woman also gathered the stones to retaliate but instead, she was throwing them at the cars and motorbikes on the road. After some time, the guy went roaming for about two, three hours and came and slept on the pavement. So, when the mad woman saw him, I think she took revenge.”

The Ghana Police Service claimed that it had not yet confirmed the occurrence when contacted.

However, according to information from online media sources, the police eventually detained the mad woman after a mob threatened to lynch her for the death of the okada rider.
